      \u201cWhen I joined the Competition Commission of South Africa back in 2017, I did not have vast knowledge and experience in competition and regulatory policy. In 2018, I enrolled for the MCom in Competition and Economic Regulation course. The purpose of the qualification was to equip students with specialist knowledge and skills required to undertake rigorous economic analysis in competition and regulatory matters. With no fear or favour I can confirm that this was the best decision I have ever taken. The course has improved my understanding of the role of competition and regulation in economic development. I can now effectively analyse anticompetitive conduct, particularly in abuse of dominance competition cases across a wide range of industries. The course content has also improved my understanding of previous competition cases and this has had a ripple effect on the quality of my work and my contribution to the attainment of the overall mandate of the Competition Commission.
